Chile Full Year 2012: Chevrolet Sail dominates for the first time

The Chilean new vehicle market is up 1% year-on-year in 2012 to 338,826 registrations. After two years of Hyundai Accent domination, the Chevrolet Sail, imported from China, takes the lead of the models ranking in Chile in 2012 with 14,760 sales and 4.4%, far above the Accent at 9,769 units and 2.9% while the Kia Rio rounds up the podium with 9,113 sales and 2.7%. The Chevrolet Spark follows, ahead of the Toyota Yaris, Nissan Tiida, Chevrolet Spark GT and Kia Morning. Notice also the Samsung SM3 at #9 – its highest in the world vs. #24 at home in South Korea, if we exclude its #2 spot in Turkey where it is sold as the Renault Fluence.
